
Esh Group has entered the recycling and waste management sector with the formation of a joint venture company with Aggregate Industries UK Limited, the multi national aggregates group which includes the Bardon, Bradstone, Masterblock and Charcon brands. The deal follows Esh Group's takeover earlier this month of J Tonks (Transport) Limited, the Teesside based recycling and skip hire company.
The new company, to be known as Bardon-Esh Limited, will concentrate on recycling activities within the region, operating the recycling plants at Haverton Hill and Wingate and producing a wide range of re-usable construction aggregates. Bardon Recycling, Aggregate Industries' waste management business, will be responsible for the sale of the recycled materials produced from the North East operation. Separately, J Tonks Transport will continue to operate its highly successful skip hire and waste management business within the region.
