We are a Company that cares for its employees, its supply chain members, its clients and its environment. The Company relies on the continued performance of management and personnel who work to maintain the reputation for close co-operation, teamwork and the application of a non-adversarial attitude attracting repeat business. We realise that we do not work in isolation to all that is happening around us, and we carry out what we do mindful of the impact that our activities might bring to people and their living or working place.

Training

The Company invests a great deal into the training and development of its employees. The Company has a comprehensive Training Scheme which has been designed and developed for all grades and disciplines of personnel in the organisation. Employees are actively encouraged and financially supported to seek further qualifications for their personal development and the corporate growth of Stephen Easten Building.

Health & Safety

Stephen Easten Building is proud of its good Health and Safety record. The Company Health & Safety Policy is constantly reviewed and updated to meet legislative changes and developments. Specific Health & Safety training is delivered to employees both in the classroom setting and in the workplace using external and in-house personnel.

Quality

Our core objectives of quality and continuous improvement in all areas of service delivery are practised throughout the company and are reflected in all operations. The Company formalised the mechanisms that are linked to these objectives, and has set up a Quality Assurance System to ISO standards.

Environment

We are acutely aware of our impact upon the environment and we act to minimise any negative effects of our activity, and make full use of sustainable materials and methods. Supervisors and Managers have completed training in Environmental Awareness accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). Within the Esh Group, we have formed a joint venture with Aggregate Industries, Bardon Esh that recycles construction waste at its bespoke plant on Teesside. The Group has also established facilities at Bowburn and Tursdale to separate and segregate waste materials for recycling.

Our Promise

Stephen Easten Building Limited makes it a priority to focus on listening to and delivering its customers’ needs. From commencement to completion on every project, Stephen Easten’s staff work to ensure the high quality of service is delivered. Following completion, the Head of Client Services evaluates each project in consultation with the client and architect. The results of each evaluation are discussed with our Managing Director and all actions are identified. The results of the evaluations are also used to assess our performance using the Key Performance Indicators recommended by Constructing Excellence. Our primary target is to deliver projects on time, to budget and to the clients’ satisfaction.

Considerate Constructors

Stephen Easten Building Limited supports the Considerate Constructors Scheme. This is a government sponsored scheme by which Inspectors monitor the builders’ efforts to consider the best interest of those people who could be adversely affected by the operation of a construction site.
